The Highways England will shortly be carrying out roadworks near the Cartgate Lodge. A map detailing the location of this work can be found at the end of this page.
Due to roadworks, the Cartgate Cafe will be open at 6.30am and closed 7.30pm on 11th and 12th of June
The road surface around Cartgate roundabout has deteriorated with age and needs to be replaced along with the entry and exit slip to Cartgate Picnic Site.
The Highways England have planned these works to take place ahead of the busy tourist season. To minimise disruption, Highways England works overnight when there are fewer vehicles on the road. During the day they will keep the carriageway open as usual.
